We will leave Lisbon in the morning and head towards Sabrosa, a charming village located in the Douro hills. In this historic region, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a local winery, where you’ll learn about the winemaking process and learn about the winemaking traditions of the Douro. Enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and cellar as experts share with you the secrets of producing world-renowned wines.
After the visit to the winery, a delicious wine tasting will be served. Here, you will have the chance to appreciate the complex and unique flavors of the wines produced in the region, from the rich and full-bodied reds to the refreshing whites and rosés. Accompanied by a selection of cheeses and local products, this experience will provide a true immersion in the oenological culture of the Douro.
Then we will head to the charming village of Pinhão, known as the heart of the Douro Valley. Here, you will have free time to explore the city, marvel at its traditional architecture and enjoy a typical lunch at a local restaurant. Be sure to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Douro River as it meanders through the vineyard-covered hills.
During the tour, we will embark on a rabelo boat ride, a traditional wooden vessel used to transport barrels of wine along the river. We will sail along the Douro, admiring the stunning landscapes, the terraces covered with vines and the ancient terraces built by man. It is a unique opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty of this region and understand the historical importance of the Douro River in wine production.
we visite Peso da Régua, a city that plays a central role in the Douro wine region. Here, you will have free time to explore the city and discover its welcoming atmosphere. Take the opportunity to relax and enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants, where you can taste the traditional gastronomy of the Douro.
We will visit another Douro region winery, where you will have the opportunity to learn about Sparkling wine (Portuguese Champagne), where we will get to know the entire production process, followed by a visit to the spectacular cellars excavated in the blue garnito mountain, at the end there is a Sparkling wine tasting
